I didn’t want to get up this morning. It was SO dark and I was so cozy in bed! At church I worked on my e-mails and blog. I then had morning tea with David and secretary Virginia. That started at 10 or so and lasted until 11:15 or so. I thought it would be rude to get up and leave to do my work, so I stayed for a while. I then went back to working on my sermon, but got to a stopping point at 12:15 to which I went to eat lunch!
After a 15 minute lunch, I went back to working on my sermon and cranked out 5 pages. In addition to the four that I wrote yesterday, I left work with 9 pages written. 3 or so more to go!
I had to meet Rosemary at the mall at 3:00 to catch the bus home. I waited and waited and waited for her at the front entry to the mall. Ten after I looked at my clock and it said it was only 2:10. Have you ever done that before? You don’t look at the hour hand, or the hour hand looks like it is on the next hour than what it really is? Yep. That’s what I did. Once I noticed my mistake, I wondered around the mall. I actually stumbled into Rosemary which was odd in such a large mall. We agreed on another location.
I did some shopping of what I bought I cannot say because it was a gift. Its fun to have though! I met Rosemary an hour later and we made our way to the bus stop. It was my first time to try public transportation. We sat on a bench and chatted, while looking for the bus to come. It was suppose to arrive at 3:20. Well 3:20 came and went. We thought maybe the bus was late, but after asking a few people waiting in the same spot, we found out that we were at the wrong gate and had just missed our bus. So we moved to the correct gate and sat and talked and looked at the gift I had bought for about an hour. It was good to socialize with a female again. I mean I can talk to Rosemary at home, but its not that one-on-one girl talk. Girls – you know what I mean…
Finally at 4:20 our bus came. Strangely enough, he didn’t charge us for the bus ride! We must have been living right! We got to our stop at 5:00 and then walked the rest of the way home.
For dinner we had sausages (about the size of hotdogs) with a sweet onion and apple topping. Green beans on the side. I had one and a half sausages. Jeff had 4 and a half. Rosemary had none- she is a vegetarian. After dinner I worked on my sermon. I completed the last 3 pages with a breeze. Now I just need to run through it a few times and edit and rearrange stuff. But I’m going to wait till tomorrow to do all that! Now I am going to read a book.Tonight I would rather not watch TV, although I have in recent evenings. Interesting that is….
You mentioned not getting charged for the bus ride, did you see on the internet the story about a lady who had a baby on the subway train? One of the lady employees helped her because she couldn't wait until she could get her to the hospital. Anyway, the baby was born and they didn't charge for the baby to ride the rest of the way! Sometimes we get a break in life don't we?
