Busy from 6:45 AM to 10:30 PM

Wednesday June 17, 2009

Another busy long day. I worked all morning on printing stuff off for my sermon, and getting a PowerPoint presentation made for my sermon. Morning tea today was a bit shorter, so I got a lot of work done. Lunch was longer, but it did make the afternoon go by fast. Once I finished everything for my sermon, I started preparing for my sermon next week. I have had a lot of invitations to take me on day trips all next week, so I need to get my sermon research done while I am still at church with the Internet before I go on these day trips.

Nothing too grand or exciting happened at church today. I had mushroom soup again for lunch. I met a few new people. I drank lots of coffee. That's about it!

At 4:45 Jeff and I ran home so we could pick up Rosemary and so I could change into some jeans. Then we were off again to go to a church member's house for dinner or as they call it "tea." I get confused about this sometimes. I have to clarify tea or supper? Walking into their house they had this large fire burning in the fire place. It was SO warm! For dinner we had either lamb or chicken with veggies and mashed potato. For our appetizer we had broccoli soup with bread. For dessert we had canned pears with chocolate in the pit with merange on top! it was all heated up and served with ice cream and a strawberry. It was yummy. So yummy. I want to be able to make that at home!

We left their house at 7:45 and came up to the church for a board meeting. There were only 4 people in attendance along with me, Jeff, and Pastor David. The meeting ran till about 10:00 and we were out of there by 10:15. We finally got home about 10:30. I am so tired! I have just gone and gone and gone all day. I am still not familiar with this 8 hour work day, but I think I could get the hang of it!

Tomorrow I have work in the morning, staff meeting, and then I am going out to dinner with another member of the church. So it will be another busy day, but that means I'll sleep well at night!
